Magukolhu Hotaa at Malé, Maldives
Nice local restaurant in Malé to try Maldivian food. Most of the customers are locals. Prices are on the budget and payment by cash only.
I came here for the Maldivian breakfast, Mas huni and Roshi.
Mas huni is a typical Maldivian breakfast of shredded tuna, onion, coconut, lime juice and chilli. Sometimes they mixed it with pumpkin (yellow colour above) or mixed with vegetable (green colour below). Roshi is a Maldivian flatbread.
I also tried Garudhiya, Maldivian's clear fish soup for lunch.
Good place to try Maldivian food for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Murre's Classic Lager brewed in Rawalpindi, Pakistan.
Alcohol is not served in any restaurant or shops in Pakistan.
But in international hotels like Pearl Continental (PC) Lahore, non-Muslim guests can find beer at Rumors Bar, tucked discreetly on the second floor.

Ministry of Crab in Colombo is dedicated to showcase the best of Sri Lankan crabs, in different sizes and cooking preparation. The size of the crabs start from 500 grams to two kilograms with the biggest called Crabzilla!
The cooking styles includes traditional Sri Lankan Curry, Black Pepper, Chilli, Garlic Chilli to Butter. One of the best ways to enjoy the sauce and curry is to eat it with Kade Bread, a traditional Sri Lankan wood fire bread.
King prawns are also available with the biggest size goes up to 500 gram.
Ministry of Crab is located in the historic Old Dutch Hospital Complex in Colombo Fort. Reservation is a must.

Graha Maria Annai Velangkanni is a Catholic church located in Medan, Indonesia. Built in an Indo-Mughal architecture style, it looks like an Indian or Chinese temple from outside. The church is dedicated to the Blessed Mother Mary who is known in India as Annai Velangkanni Arokia Matha (Our Lady of Good Health).

GranMonte Vineyard, Thailand
The is not Bordeaux in France or Margaret River in Australia but Thailand!
It was a pleasant surprise to know that a tropical country like Thailand has vineyards and a wine industry. Wines produced from the country is known as New Latitude Wines for the reason that the grapes are grown in the tropics close to the equator.
Granmonte Vineyard is located in Asoke Valley, Khao Yai in the north east of Thailand, close to the Khao Yai National Park and is about two hours away from Bangkok.
It was founded by Visooth Lothitnavy and his daughter, Nikki Lothitnavy is Thailand's first woman winemaker.
The estate also has a guesthouse, a restaurant, a souvenir shop and a cafe.

Queen's Hostel, Georgetown, Penang [CLOSED]
Queen's Hostel is a female-only hostel in UNESCO Heritage site of Georgetown, Penang.
Unlike the usual bunk-bed, the all-female dormitory called Queen's Canopy provide a sleeping place similar to a tent/canopy with curtain for privacy. Each canopy feels like a room on its own.
Two private rooms are available on the ground floor for female travellers and their companions including males.
The hostel provides amenities that cater to the need of ladies such as full-length mirror, salon-grade hair dryer, free-to-use OPI nail lacquers and even hair conditioner along with the usual shampoo and shower cream.
Coffee, tea and filtered water are available free-of-charge. I appreciated the free filtered water as it helps travellers save money and is good for the environment since they don't have to buy bottled water :)
The hostel is located in an area known as Little India and is within walking distance to many popular attractions such as Peranakan Mansion, Kapitan Keling Mosque, The Goddess of Mercy Temple, St. George's Church, Sri Mahamariamman Temple.
I paid RM59 per night for the Queen's Canopy in August.

The hotel is located inside KLIA2 and is designed for transit travellers who need a place to recharge before their next flights, especially those arriving late at night and need to catch early flight few hours later. Rates are charged by hours - three hours, six hours and 12 hours.
It provides a separate area (dorm and bathroom) for men and females.
The room is built from a freight container. A roller blind functions as the door for the container. A built-in compartment on the floor provides storage space though no lock is provided. Locker is provided near the entrance for big items like luggage. Another built-in compartment next to the phone open up to a mirror and a table.
The common area is next to the entrance of the airport where buses depart and arrive.
The hotel is located at level 1 at the transportation hub.

Bukit Malawati Kuala Selangor
Monkey business
Bukit Malawati is a historical hill located at the coastal town of Kuala Selangor.
There are a few attractions in Bukit Malawati (Malawati Hill) in Kuala Selangor such as the remains of an old port, cannons lighthouse, royal mausoleum, seven wells and a supposedly execution rock (batu hampar).
But I think the most popular attraction seems to be feeding the monkeys that roam the hill. (There are actually a lot more monkeys than what the photo below shown!)
There are two types of monkeys here; the Silver Leaf Monkey (below) and Long-Tailed Macaques. Visitors can buy bananas and string beans from vendors around the area and feed them. The Silver Leaf Monkeys are generally tamer than the Long-Tailed Macaques.
One interesting sight and fact for visitors: a baby Silver Leaf has bright orange furs, in constrast with the grey fur for the adults.

Other popular attraction in Kuala Selangor - Fireflies, eagle-feeding, fishing villages and fresh seafood.
